For some women, their lochia can stop or fade and then return, often between week 5 and 8 and it can occur even after a week or more of nothing. I think for me it was partially because i started exercising more and that flushed more lochia out. I had my baby a month ago today (sept 14), and i was bleeding until about a week and a half ago when it stopped suddenly (didn’t taper off).

I had this through 8 or 9 weeks. If i did any heavy lifting or pushed myself then i would bleed more. I stopped bleeding and discharge at 4 weeks postpartum then had some light spotting around 5 weeks which i thought was the 6th week bleed and now i'm having a little heavier bleeding but still not much at 7.5 weeks postpartum.
I tapered off and then about 10 days postpartum i had red bleedingagain and had. Had cramps easter weekend that felt like i used to feel when i ovulate. I started the mini pill the next day and was on it for a week.
